Ms. Chieko Watanabe Shibuya Web3 University Create Course Member Representative Director, Circular Cotton Factoryctoryar Cotton Factory
Founder of Avanti Co., Ltd. Established Avanti Co., Ltd. in 1985. Has been working to promote organic cotton in Japan since 1990 and is a pioneer in manufacturing organic cotton products in Japan. Outside of business activities, established the NPO Japan Organic Cotton Association as an educational and certification organization. Involved in creating global standard criteria. In 2016, became Representative Director of the "From Forest to Sea" Foundation. In 2017, began activities as a founder of the "What to Leave for the 22nd Century" Foundation. In 2021, launched a project to transform textile waste into resources, starting activities under the Circular Cotton Project to convert textiles into paper and boards. In September 2023, recognizing the potential of Web3, joined the Shibuya Web3 University Create Course at the age of 72. Currently working to use Japan's spirit for world peace, believing now is the crucial time to do so.

HashPort Inc. CEO & Representative Director
Founded HashPort Inc. in 2018. Provides Web3 wallet solutions to numerous businesses, financial institutions, and government agencies, including the EXPO2025 Digital Wallet for the Osaka-Kansai Expo. In 2020, established HashPalette Inc. as a subsidiary focused on the NFT sector. The company successfully completed Japan's first IEO (Initial Exchange Offering, a fundraising method using cryptocurrency compliant with the Payment Services Act) and was acquired by U.S.-based Aptos in 2024. Before founding HashPort, worked at BCG Digital Ventures, the digital business development division of Boston Consulting Group, as the youngest Venture Architect (investment and business development specialist) in the Tokyo office, handling projects in Japan and China. Currently serves as a director of the Japan Cryptoasset Business Association, a collaborative researcher at the University of Tokyo's Graduate School of Engineering, and a joint research member of Keio University Global Research Institute's "Cryptocurrency Research Project."

Currently involved in launching and investing in Web3 businesses as Representative Director of MZ Cryptos Co., Ltd., External Director of HashPort Inc., GP at MZWeb3Fund, and Co-Founder of DecimaFund. As Vice Chairman of JCBA, provides industry recommendations. Also contributes to the advancement of Japan's Fintech and Web3 industries as a Fellow at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's International Financial Fellow Bureau and as part of the secretariat for the Liberal Democratic Party's Digital Society Promotion Headquarters Web3 Project Team Working Group.

From internship until 2018, primarily worked in the recruitment industry. In 2018, joined Coincheck Inc. as an HR professional. As the engineer recruitment manager, hired approximately 25 engineers in one year before transitioning to a planning role. Subsequently served as PM for listing multiple new cryptocurrencies and managed Japan's first IEO. In January 2022, joined bitFlyer Inc., and in July of the same year, established the current Crypto Strategy Office and was appointed Deputy Director. Oversaw the listing of around 16 new cryptocurrencies and was responsible for bitFlyer's first IEO. In February 2022, was appointed Vice Chair of the ICO/IEO Division at the Japan Cryptoasset Business Association (JCBA), where he has been engaged in activities aimed at reforming the domestic IEO system, including the creation of various policy recommendation documents. In December 2023, was appointed to the Executive Committee of the NFT Division, participating in the development of guidelines related to RWAs (Real World Assets). In June 2024, became independent and now serves as an advisor to multiple companies.
